Karen, this is such a warm and beautiful picture. What you are doing with this blog is so courageous and must also be incredibly painful. I heard the news via the fasola list while I was out of the country on a long trip -- I just couldn't believe it, and had to re-read the announcement a couple of times before I understood that it wasn't about a relative of Jerry's but rather Jerry himself. Somehow I had completely missed the news of his cancer diagnosis. I am so, so sorry for your loss and for everything you must have been going through over the past many months. -Kiri
