2011

I had a long entry going under this title today, but I just deleted it: a lot of blathering to say that 2011 has whooshed by, that it was a very hard year, that it had its ups and downs, and that I have got to believe that 2012 will have more ups than downs... and that, with any luck, next year at this time I'll be in NY, employed, domiciled, and more at peace with the hand I've been dealt.

Happy New Year to all y'all - may 2012 bring good things for all of us.

  1. May 2012 bring only good your way.

    And laughter, lots of laughter.

I understand about the dearness of the home you shared and your feelings about leaving it. Similar thoughts also come to me. It's hard to imagine saying goodbye to a place shared with love, hallowed with handiwork, touch and smells, and that was a real home: our home.

But I think making room in our lives for new experiences sometimes demands letting go parts of past lives.

Not easy making room and letting go.... Not easy making a new home.

But exciting it can be. I think accepting death's finality catalyzes efforts to want more, especially to yearn to give love and to have love in our lives again.

How to do this? Not a clue. But building on what we had (we loved and were loved) is a start.

    Virtual hugs come your way.

  2. Thinking of you in transition....
I hope your last day of work went well.
If you are in the midst of a snowstorm I hope there is beauty around you and also someone to help you shovel!

  3. Still thinking of you in transition and hoping good things are happening for you and your plans are taking shape. Getting a house ready for a sale and/or rental market (especially the current market) must at times be intimidating. Certainly not easy. If this is what you are doing I hope it isn't too difficult. Hopefully you have a good agent to assist you.

The days are slowly getting longer and the effects of light becoming more evident each day. January, then February and more....soon it will be spring. Maybe you can celebrate in NY?
    Virtual hugs come your way.
